Weather Forecast Box
When I got my first cheap set of electronics parts and Arduinos, I wanted to make something, and inspired by the heat of a Tokyo summer, I made a weather forecasting box. I had a play around with a thermometer part that came in the set, but it was a pain to get it reading a stable measurement, so I cheated and made something more 'understandable by humans.' Inside the box a servo lifts up a piece of cardboard showing the temperature, while a serial LCD display shows the status of the machine.
It was my first time using a servo, and although they are handy, I really think next time I do something needing a motor, I might use a relay with a stronger motor.
